RI, AUSTRALIA AGREE ON GREEN PAPER STRATEGY

Indonesia and Australia signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on climate change Monday to support the green paper strategy developed by the Finance Ministry’s Fiscal Policy Office (BKF).

The MoU aims at strengthening the BKF’s capacity to provide advice on climate change policy, assist the geothermal policy implementation and develop appropriate financing scheme to promote climate change mitigation, the Australian Embassy said. Read complete article

RI JUMPS 7 SPOTS IN GLOBAL SURVEY

Jakarta, May 22 2010 – Indonesia jumped ahead of seven countries to place 35th in an annual survey of the world’s most competitive economies that is conducted by the IMD business school in Lausanne, Switzerland.

The country was ranked 42nd by the IMD World Competitiveness Yearbook in 2009.
